Princesses

I have done something similar to this in the past with a Disney questionnaire. But that was general Disney stuff. Now I'm just focusing on the princesses. There are officially eleven in the line up right now: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Merida, But come November, they are adding two more: Anna and Elsa. I love the princesses. If that makes me a five-year old girl, then so be it! But, they are a classic part of Disneyhood. The first full-length animated film was, after all, a princess movie.

(I'm doing this now before the new movie comes out, but I might include what little information I already know from it if I can.)

1) FAVORITE MOVIE: Tangled

Is anyone surprised? No, of course not. There are no words to fully describe my love for this movie. It is too wonderful!

2) FAVORITE PRINCESS: Rapunzel

I also really like Ariel. They are both kind of similar. Rapunzel is just so sweet and optimistic and happy and bold and all around wonderful. I love her!

3) FAVORITE ROMANTIC INTEREST: Flynn Rider/Eugene Fitzherbert

I swear, this is not going to be a Tangled-centric post! The first three questions just happen to pertain to that particular movie. Flynn just cracks me up, plus he's a total sweetheart.

4) FAVORITE SONG: Under the Sea

A princess doesn't sing it particularly, but it's in a princess movie and it is being sung directly to her.

5) FAVORITE KISS: Beauty and the Beast or Princess and the Frog

I can't decide. They're both so magical and wonderful!

6) MOST BEAUTIFUL: Aurora or Elsa

I can't decide. I always thought Aurora was, but then I saw Elsa from the new movie coming out and thought she was stunning.

7) FAVORITE CASTLE: Aladdin

It's definitely the most unique. Although The Little Mermaid's is right up there (the underwater one) because awesome!

8) BEST HAIR: Merida

I mean LOOK at it! It's fantastic! There's no other word for it.

9) FAVORITE DRESS: Tiana

Belle is in a close second. I just love everything about Tiana's dress though. It is gorgeous!

10) FAVORITE SPEAKING VOICE: Ariel

Gotta love Jodi Benson. She gives Ariel such a sweet, innocent sound.

11) FAVORITE SINGING VOICE: Jasmine/Mulan

The same person provides the singing voice for both characters so... But she's so good! She's got such a crystal clear, beautiful voice! Although, the new princess, Elsa, is voiced by Idina Menzel and I am kind of debating my choice here because IDINA MENZEL!!!

12) BEST EYES: Rapunzel

Big, green, gorgeous. You could just get lost staring into them... And Flynn does on more than one occasion ;)

13) FAVORITE NAME: Tiana

Kind of a tough question. I kind of like Merida and Belle too.

14) FAVORITE QUOTE: "My daddy never did get what he wanted... but he had what he needed. He had love!" --Tiana

I'm kind of surprised at how much Tiana is on my list. But I just really like this quote.

15) FAVORITE LYRICS: "You think the only people who are people. Are the people who look and think like you." --Colors of the Wind, Pocahontas

I like this a lot because I can't stand judgmental people. It's especially relevant to me right now because, as I mentioned above, the new Disney movie is coming out as it is getting tons of hate. Now, I don't expect everyone to love it, but people are being way too harsh and jumping on the "Hate Every Little Thing About Frozen" bandwagon.  Anyways, it's a great song with a great message, not just about nature.

16 ) BRAVEST: Mulan

You'd think it would be Merida since the actual title of her movie is Brave. Well, all the princesses are pretty brave in their own way, but Mulan takes top spot. I mean she cuts off her hair and joins the army for one thing. Not only is that dangerous, but then if she's discovered, she'll be executed.

17) FAVORITE DANCE SCENE: Beauty and the Beast

I really like Tangled's too, though the two romantic leads don't ever actually dance together so I don't really count it here. Even if I did, Beauty and the Beast's is still the best. The cinematography is amazing and I love, love, LOVE the song!

18) MOST MAGICAL MOMENT: When Cinderella gets her ball gown

There are many other moments with more sparkles and lights and triumphant music and more meaningful subject matter (like coming back from the dead or returning to human form or something), and such, but this is such a classic moment and it is truly magical. I mean "bibbity-bobbity-boo" after all.

19) BEST WARDROBE: Ariel

Although Tiana has the widest selection of outfits, I am fondest of all of Ariel's outfits the most, even her sail "dress". (I even like her made up green/blue gown for the Disney parks and some of the merchandise.)

20) FAVORITE HAPPY ENDING: Snow White

You might be surprised that this movie's on my list at all. Many of the other movies have such grander endings than this one, but there's something about this one with the classic true love's kiss, the joyful dwarves celebrating, and the riding into the sunset that is just perfection.
