Parks and Rec Character Match-up

Quarantine, amirite? Lots of TV watching. I haven’t exactly been watching one show consistently recently. I’ve been watching a lot of random episodes from shows I’ve already seen-- whatever tickles my fancy. Most recently, I rewatched a bunch of Parks and Recreation episodes (and yes, I did catch the reunion the other night). Anyways, as I was watching, I remembered some comparisons my family made between us and some of the characters a while back and realized that I hadn’t actually compiled a list.

Let me explain...

So back in the fall, my family and I were watching Parks and Rec together so it was on all of our minds constantly. Afton and Brady had already seen it and could discuss anything we brought up with them. Anyways, I can’t exactly remember how the conversation got started, but we suddenly decided that Afton was a lot like the character Jean-Ralphio and we couldn’t stop laughing. After deciding that, we realized that I was exactly like the character Ben Wyatt (the polar opposite of Jean-Ralphio) and we found this gif of them that 100% encapsulates mine and Afton’s relationship.

After making these connections, we obviously didn’t stop there. We all tried to figure out who each of our Parks and Rec character match was. After debating about it for some time, we found a match for everybody. Obviously, we found matches and similarities in multiple characters, but these are the ones that we think have the highest similarities overall... So this is the list: each family member with their character and why we thought they matched up. (Note: this has nothing to do with looks, only personality traits)

Dad... Chris Traeger

-Extremely health conscious and always talks about it

-A lovable goober

-Best friends with everyone
