My Story

At the sleep clinic- Doesn't it look like I just had brain surgery? (Don't worry, I've just got about 15-20 wires glued to my head scanning my brain)
I’m going to tell you my story. I’m telling it now because I’m now beginning to understand it and its role in the grand scheme of my life (and possibly my eternal existence). My story doesn’t start a few months ago like most people think. No. It actually begins in the summer of 2008. The year I had my first seizure.

The first thing I coherently remember was waking up in the hospital, an IV stuck in my hand and my mom at my side. I soon slipped into unconsciousness again, but not before my mom explained to me that I had a seizure that morning.

At this point in my life, I still shared a room with my younger sister. She later told me that early that morning she awoke to a loud thud and saw me lying on the floor. She had never seen a seizure before, so naturally was a bit freaked at the convulsing sight before her. She immediately fetched my parents who then called 911. I have very fuzzy memories of the pediatrics trying to get me down to the ambulance and then asking me questions such as “what’s your name?” or “where do you live?”. I couldn’t answer “what’s the date?” since it was summer and as a teenager, you just don’t keep track of those things when there’s no school.

I was at the hospital for a few hours and then they sent me home. I immediately fell asleep and we thought the drama was over for the day. However, not even an hour later, I was waking up in the hospital again. I had had another seizure.

I stayed at the hospital for the rest of the day, slipping in and out of consciousness. Apparently I had many visitors, but I don’t really remember any of them, since I was completely out of it. I was eventually moved to another hospital so I could meet with a neurologist the next morning. I did meet the neurologist, but I don’t have many memories of that either, besides me getting explanations of whether or not I was considered an epileptic or not. Also that epilepsy is usually genetic, but I do not have any traces of epilepsy in my family tree whatsoever.

So, to sum up my condition at this point: I have epilepsy (meaning I have had more that one seizure). I have grand-mal seizures, which is when your entire body convulses. And we don’t know what triggers the seizures.

This was only the beginning. We had no idea what had started that fateful day in 2008. Eventually, I had another one. Same as before, early morning while I was still asleep. My parents had been given some recovery pills for me to take after I have a seizure, so they gave one to me and I was passed out for several hours.

I had another seizure some time later. Again, early morning while I was asleep. It kept happening again and again. I was averaging one or two seizures a month. I would always be conked out for hours afterwards. Eventually we realized it was the recovery pills that were knocking me out and not the seizures themselves. We got permission to stop taking them.

After a while, I had to get medicated for this obvious problem. The first medicine I tried is a story within itself. I had a major allergic reaction. I broke out in a huge red blotchy rash all over my entire body and got really sick (like a flu, with a fever and everything). I remember it was around the time we were supposed to get our family photos taken by a professional. We could not possibly reschedule! *coughs* So here I was with this hideous red rash all over me, including my face, and having to go get pictures taken to save for all our lives and send out to family. The night before, I had my dad and our neighbor/good friend give me a blessing. I don’t remember what was said, but I do remember that by the time we had to head out to the beach where we were going to get our pictures taken, my rash had completely cleared off my face and neck. Not anywhere else, but just my face and neck. It really was a miracle! So if you look at those picture, you’ll see I’m wearing long sleeves (when I was supposed to be wearing short sleeves) and the photographer did some photoshop on my hands.

Anyways, obviously I switched medications. I was on the next one for several years until shortly before I went to college, because it started to really affect my memory. I honestly had short-term memory loss and couldn’t even remember certain events in my long-term past. That was a really rough time for me.
So I eventually switched to a different one and my memory problems seemed to improve... at least for the time being. I’ll skip forward to when I went to college, because really, not much happened from then until the new medication besides lots more seizures. (One thing it definitely did do was change my appetite and metabolism so I lost nearly 20 pounds.)

Brain waves (and me)
Oh, I guess I should tell you about what I call the seizure hangover. Ever since I stopped taking the recovery pills, I didn’t stay passed out for nearly as long after a seizure. In fact since I switched to my newest medication sometimes I wake up almost immediately afterwards. However, that’s not always a good thing because then I experience the "seizure hangover". This is when I have a splitting headache, churning stomachache, whole-body-stiffness, major dizziness, extreme disorientation, and sometimes a bit tongue. Basically my entire body is in absolute agony. Before my new medication, I usually stayed out of it long enough to only experience the headache (which typically lingers for several hours if not all day).

Sometime after my first semester, my family began to notice that I often began to do this weird thing in the mornings where I would call out as if angry or distressed from a bad dream. I would never have any recollection of doing such a thing. We began to think that these might somehow be connected to the seizures.

Now that you know about all that, I’ll start with the real drama. For me, the seizures weren’t that big of a deal. They were basically just a sick day for me. I mean, I didn’t see it happening. I would wake up after the worst was over and just had to lay in bed for the rest of the day recovering. That is until right before college. Things began to change.

I didn’t realize things had begun to change until I was in deep. Way deep. I was practically done with my second semester when I started to notice something was wrong. However, I tried to just brush it off as a phase and I would soon be back to normal in no time. But soon, it was third semester and I was in over my head. I still tried to make excuses for it, but to no avail.

In high school, I had always been a fairly stellar student. I mean, I wasn’t a straight-A, top of the class type, but I got decent grades and always tried to do my best. I didn’t always pay attention, I mean who does? But I knew how to pull my focus and get the job done. I had only a few unfinished projects, whether from school or just from my own amusement. I wasn’t the most social person ever, but I knew how to talk to people and most people enjoyed being around me. I had some talents. And those talents I had I was good at. Not to toot my own horn, but I was and I loved doing them.

But now, all of that seemed distorted or gone completely. I was not the person I once was. I wasn’t Kelsi anymore. I had horrible grades, I couldn’t focus on anything, I couldn’t finish anything, I was even less social than I was before and was losing my ability to talk to people, and I was even losing my talents. (Like, I honestly could not play the piano anymore.) Something was seriously wrong. My dad described me as often having a fazed-over look in my eyes, like I wasn’t all there.

This didn’t suddenly happen though. It was a very gradual thing. I just kept sinking deeper and deeper into it until it was so bad that I got suspended from school for an entire semester because of my poor grades. I got two warnings previously of an impending suspension after each of my first two semesters, but I kept telling my parents and myself that I would do better next time, that it was just a fluke. I had gotten bad grades before and I had managed to fix it before. Everything would be alright. But it just kept getting worse.

I had begun to notice my lack of focus and minor short-term memory problems before my third semester had started so I made sure that my dad mentioned something about it in the traditional before-school-father’s-blessing. He of course blessed me with focus and perseverance to get through the semester. And then I went off to school.

I did manage to get through the semester, but that's all I did. Get through, not succeed. I tried though. I really did, to be a good student. But my attention span had deteriorated and my motivation to even go to a lot of my classes was not great. I didn’t even like going to church! Family home evening was a drag, I never went out socially. If I went anywhere, it was usually by myself. I mean, I’ve done that sort of thing before and a lot of that stuff hasn’t been so unusual in my past, but it was so exaggerated and extreme. It was like all my bad qualities (that I already had) were surfacing and becoming more prominent while all my talents and good qualities were deteriorating and disappearing.

I only ever wanted to sit/lie around all day watching TV. That’s seriously it. That’s all the brainpower I could/wanted to muster. If I ever tried to make a movie or write a story or draw a picture or something else I used to love to do, I would never finish it or even begin. I would just think about it and then never get around to it (like I said, that happens, but I would sometimes get around to it. But now I would fail to every. Single. Time.)

I was stuck in a rut.

So, I was suspended from school for an entire semester for my poor grades. I tried to appeal it, giving the excuse that my medication had been messing with my mind and ability to focus. I have here, the letter I wrote:

"I've been suspended, naturally, because my grades are not what they should be. For about the first half of this last semester my grades were up to par, but gradually they began to drop. I did try to fix them, but by that time it was too late and I was stuck with the low grades I received. I attended as many classes as possible and tried to concentrate on my work and finish it on time, but there was one big wrench thrown in the equation. I have Epilepsy. I had several more seizures this semester than I've had ever since it started back during my sophomore year of high school. The Epilepsy and the medication I take for it have been major stumbling blocks for me in my life ever since it started.

I am normally a fairly stellar student, not outstanding, I'll admit, but adequate. Before my Epilepsy and before the medication I was prescribed, I never allowed myself to drop below a C in any of my classes (except math, but I didn't have any math this past semester). I only have my seizures in the early morning right before I wake up. When I do wake up, I will be disoriented, sick to my stomach, have a headache, sore all over, and just unwell all around. And I will remain this way for several hours after, therefore I typically will not go to class on the days I have seizures and stay in bed, recovering. According to my Seizure Log, I had exactly 15 seizures this last semester.

The medication I take is another story. It can't be proven, but I and my family have noticed some changes in my personality since I started taking it. To name a few that applies to this situation: I cannot focus or concentrate as well as I once could, I'm not as sharp as I used to be, I can't retain information very well, I'm always tired, and I am easily distracted. I do try to fight these changes as best I can. I have to work harder than I used to and it's hard on me sometimes. Like I said above, I was doing pretty well for the first half of my semester, but I got a little lazy and let it slip. I believe I've learned my lesson and do not intend to let it happen again.

If you would like a doctor's affirmation of my diagnosis, I can get that to you, but I do not have anything available at this time."

However, they wrote back, telling me that it sounded like I needed to get a grasp on my condition before returning since if I failed again, I would be expelled for good. I thought it was ridiculous, because I had convinced myself that I was fine, I was just a little fuzzy because of the medication, but I could control it if I wanted to (completely untrue, I must tell you).

So I came home with the intent of telling everybody that I was merely "taking a semester off" (which technically I was, just not of my own free will). Now that I was home, now what? My parents decided that I should get a job. January 2013, I start job hunting. I looked everywhere! I filled out probably 20 applications that month without success. Nobody was hiring and nobody wanted me.

Now, February came around. I had been living at home for an entire month now. I would constantly have these moments of depression where all my problems would just overwhelm me where I would cry over me being suspended from school, not having a job, losing my talents, losing my memory, no social life, no boyfriend (yeah, even that sometimes), no certain future, feeling out of tune with heaven, and family, friends, acquaintances that just don’t understand, etc. Why were all these things happening to me? Anyways, I would often have a little meltdown and just cry, sometimes pray to heaven, asking why.

Well, I was trying to get back in touch with my spiritual side since I really was not feeling it anymore, so I read the scriptures every night, playing the old “turn to a random page” game. So on February 14- Valentines Day, I had a heartfelt prayer about where my life was supposed to be going and why things couldn’t be better and then opened the scriptures randomly to D&C 39:8-12. Basically to sum it up it said that your heart is in the right place before me, I know you have seen great sorrow because you have been prideful and focusing on worldly things. But you’ll soon be delivered if you will listen to me. (Then it says to be baptized, but I knew it meant something else for me since I was already baptized). And if you do this, I have prepared you for a great work to preach the gospel.

I fell asleep pondering that.

The next morning, February 15, I began to despair over my unemployment again and how basically every single one of my talents don’t come naturally to me anymore. My future did not seem very bright to me. What was I supposed to do? Upset, I went and got my patriarchal blessing. It began to talk about how I would be of service to my fellow men and how many people will want to know more about the truth through my example. My mind immediately jumped to a mission (since with the recent age change, everyone had been asking me about it, and it had been on my mind lately), but it couldn’t be. It just meant everyday life, right? Then it said “I bless you with health and strength of both mind and body that you might accomplish all of the things that the Lord will have you do.”

That struck me hard. Lately I hadn’t had strength of body or mind at all, that was why things had been so hard. But then I realized it said “that the Lord will have you do”. Then I remembered the scriptures I had read the previous night and how they had said that deliverance was near if I would hearken unto his voice. I put a mission in the place of baptism in the scripture, and it fit me perfectly!

I had been fighting against it for so long. Ever since I was little, I had practically made up mind that I didn’t want to go on a mission. While all my friends said that they wanted to go on one, I always just sat there nodding, but really thinking “Nah”. Now, it had come and hit me over the head. My patriarchal blessing had been telling me for so long, but I was blind to it. I knew it was what I had to do. So that process was soon set in motion.

Finally, March came around. Fast sunday. My parents and I decided to fast to help me find a job since I had been searching for two months without success. At the end of the day, I really listened for an answer. Now, a thought entered my mind... I’m not supposed to have a job at this time. I wasn’t really given any reason why, but I supposed it was because I was supposed to focus on my upcoming mission. Like I mentioned before, I had been feeling kind of out of tune with heaven lately, so I felt a little unsure about the answer I got, but I shared it, apprehensively, with my parents... I’m not sure if they really understood it or believed it. So they kept pressing me to look for one anyway. I continued to fill out applications for about five more months. Still nothing. Literally, nobody wanted to hire me. It was like the job hiring world was conspiring against me. It was just unnatural. Something was actually keeping me from being hired.

Back to the mission, I eventually started the papers and good things came my way when I did. I got hired for some small temporary jobs like making movies or invitations. Even though they did not last long and did not pay a ton, it was at least something. I finished as much of the papers as I could as soon as possible, but then I got to the doctor’s section. Then began the great delay of many months.
The doctor analyzing my brain activity
It took me a long while to get out of my depression. Several months in fact. I mostly kept it to myself and hid it pretty well, so not very many people actually knew how upset I was all the time. I didn’t like to socialize very much because the only subjects people could ever think to talk to me about were things that pained me to talk about, like school (which I was suspended from) or my mission (which was delaying) or my job (which I could not obtain). Every time I had to go to a party or some sort of gathering, my mom would alway prep me and tell me to be strong because everyone was going to be asking me those questions. I knew I was starting to get better when those questions did not bother me as much anymore.

I’m going to share something very sad. It’s the only journal entry from my depression period (because I told you, I had a problem with starting and finishing things). I wrote it shortly after I finally admitted to myself that I actually was depressed and had a problem. I’m sharing this, just to show you how dark of a place I was in:

"Alright, it’s true. I am depressed. I have been for a while, I’ve just been in denial about it. What with me being suspended from school, not having a job, losing my talents, losing my memory, no social life, no boyfriend, no certain future, and family, friends, acquaintances that just don’t understand. Can you really blame me?

Also, I’ve just felt so out of tune with heaven. I just don’t feel the spirit as strongly as I used to. My prayers just don’t ever seem to be answered anymore or if they are, I can’t tell because I’m just so out of tune. Was it something I did? I know God doesn’t shun anybody because of their sins or flaws, but that’s seriously what I feel like right now. When I realized that I should go on a mission, I hoped that my going would help me get back in touch with my spiritual side, but so far there’s zilch. I haven’t actually gone yet, but I shouldn’t leave in this condition.

Now the mission is another thing. I’ve been working on my papers and Mom has been pressuring me to get them done ASAP, but I don’t want to leave before Angela’s wedding in July. I mean, she’s the first of my friends to get married and I might miss it. Also, I just found out that the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary premiere is in November. I have been waiting SO LONG for this and I might miss that too! I mean, it’ll always be there when I get back, but I’d have to wait 1 1/2 years. Besides, I probably won’t be as psyched and it’s more fun to see it at the same time as everyone else.

I know I’m sounding very worldly with the Doctor Who thing and that I should put God’s work first and stuff, but you’ve got to understand, my TV shows are all I have. They are literally my life. If I didn’t have Doctor Who or Sherlock or Psych or The Lizzie Bennet Diaries or Friends or Merlin or whatever, I probably would be in a much darker place than I am now. They are my small glimmer of light. When people turn to fictional characters, it’s often because they want an escape. The stories of these people shelter me from the storm of my daily life; they save me, if only for a little while. But when I really give in, become invested, let myself be vulnerable, something changes. I begin to feel that I know them. It’s no longer just an escape, but part of me, something that makes me who I am. These characters teach me that incredible adversity can be overcome. That people can love each other forever. That life can be an adventure. That magic can be real. And even if these miracles have never happened to me, we begin to go through life believing that, someday, they could.

I think one of the main reasons I am so depressed right now is because I’m not with my friends all the time like I was in high school. I mean, they all had such sweet spirits and positive attitudes. But now I hardly ever see them and I’m just left alone to my depressing thoughts."

This really was not a happy time for me. From about January to mid June I was in the mental Pit of Despair. Remember how I said earlier, I had been giving the excuse that it was the medication that was messing with my brain? (I mean, after all, it was brain medication and my problems hadn’t started until I started taking it). However, I soon realized that it wasn’t the seizure medication that was the problem, it was the seizures themselves. I was having too many too close together that my brain didn’t have enough time to heal itself before the next one came along, and gradually over time, it was beginning to have an effect on my mind.

Getting the wires glued on.
I should mention, I had had several EEG tests before, a take-home EEG test (that was fun. Not), an MRI, and now the only test left to be taken was a sleep test. I went to a sleep clinic in April to have my brain analyzed over a course of 3-5 days. I got all hooked up (with wires glued to my head and a camera set on me) and set up in a hospital room to prepare for a few days of hospital food.

I’ll not tell you about that strange experience that was the sleep clinic, but I will tell you the results. I was not having a seizure like they were hoping, even when they weaned me off my meds. So we did a strange thing and had everyone pray for me to have a seizure instead of the other way around. The last night, I had a perfect seizure. It was the first time I ever saw myself having one. It was not as horrifying as I thought, since everyone who has ever described it to me always talks about how scared they have been, but it was still pretty trippy seeing myself convulse uncontrollably the way I did (especially with absolutely no recollection of it).

The specialist analyzed the results and came to the conclusion that my seizures originated from the frontal lobe. The strange calling out things I do were smaller seizures that did not progress into the large grand-mal seizures. However, all were products of some activity in the frontal lobe, sometimes it just progressed into something bigger. Finally! Some new information! We still didn’t know what caused them, but at least we were getting somewhere!

So the goal was to stop my seizures altogether. Of course doctors are always happy if seizure activity is even lessened, but the goal is to stop it altogether. So, the specialist upped my dose in medicine.

At first, it didn’t make much of a difference, especially since I kept forgetting to take the extra pills in the morning. However, soon I worked out a system and took them all almost consistently. That’s when we get to mid-June, when I started to notice an improvement in my depression. I had noticed an improvement in my condition altogether before that since as of May, I hadn’t had a single seizure. That’s huge! I had never gone so long without having one. I hadn’t even been calling out. My medication was working!

Since I was starting to feel a little more motivated and less depressed, I decided to try working on a talent. I tried reteaching myself the piano. I started from my very beginner books and worked through them. I swear, my mom almost cried, she was so happy. I didn’t finish, but still, the fact that I even sat down at the piano after half a year, was an improvement.

What really got me going though was in July, when I pulled out the green screen and made a movie by myself. I remade The Hairbrush Song, one that I had made several years ago.  I hadn’t made a movie in so long! (I had thought about it, but never did). When I filmed it, edited it, and everything, it just sparked something inside of me. Not long afterwards, I made another one. Then another one, and another. I soon finished almost all the VeggieTales Silly Songs out there.

I even began to write my story again. The story I have been attempting to write for like four years now. I managed to write out a complete outline for it. It’s actually really good this time. I might even finish this version. I tried playing the piano again. I’m a little rusty, but I. Can. Do it. Mission papers are finally moving along again. Slowly, but surely. I’m hoping they’ll be out before the end of the year.

I did have another seizure in July. However, if it hadn’t been so long since my last one, I would have still been depressed. So the fact that I had one upset me a little, but I was not so devastated as I would have been a couple months earlier. My brain has had a chance to heal itself!

I was finally feeling motivated, focused, and ALIVE again!

So, since I don’t have such a dark and pessimistic outlook on life anymore, I’ve finally had a chance to look back over my trials and see how they have been for my benefit. I see how everything just comes into one big circle. The Lord truly has a plan for me, I’m just beginning to uncover it.

All this time I was going through these trials, I would be asking “why?” and looking up scriptures for answers. And every single time the answer would be “patience”. I absolutely hated that answer! I thought for sure there has to be something else. Like how to bear these burdens, or something of comfort. Nope. Always patience. I think I have learned something about patience though. It definitely took a lot of it to get through this. I mean, I always considered myself a patient person before, but now... I've got a new appreciation for patience and faith.

Back in Young Women's we would always learn about having faith and it just seemed so easy back then. Even when I went through trials back then, it was not hard for me to have faith that I could get through them. But after this... I have definitely gained a whole new outlook on what it means to have faith.

Then, there’s the job problem. For a half a year I filled out applications. I probably filled out around a hundred of them (that’s no exaggeration). I’ve filled out online profiles, gone to interviews, and still I was never hired. I got the answer early on that I was not supposed to have a job at this time, and even when I pursued one anyway, there really was something preventing me from getting one. I said earlier that I wasn’t given a reason why I wasn’t supposed to have a job, but I think I’ve figured it out. If I had a job during these past few months of my dark period, it would have put a black mark on my record. I mean, I really was not myself. My parents told me later that they did believe me when I told them my answer to our fast back in March, but they pressed me to pursue a job anyways just to give me a purpose and something to aim towards. It did play a part in pulling me out of my rut (even though it sometimes really beat at my self-esteem while it was down).

If I hadn’t been suspended from school and if I hadn’t gone through these trials, I never would have been down on my knees that day in February and I never would have come to the decision to go on a mission.

So, as you can see, it has not been easy for me. But I have gotten through it with God’s help (even if I couldn’t always see it). Trials are for our benefit, even if it may not seem like it (because it certainly did not seem like it for me). I love the Lord and I love Jesus Christ. Amen.

Frozen

It is my new goal in life to get everyone educated if not pumped about the latest Disney movie coming out this November since Disney doesn't seem to find it necessary to do it themselves. Unless someone has mentioned it to you already, you probably haven't even heard of this movie! Despite the fact that it comes out in approximately three months, there has been hardly any mention of it anywhere. When The Princess and the Frog, and Tangled, and Wreck-It Ralph were in the works, their advertising began like a year in advance! And there was tons of it! What's up with this one? It's frustrating me beyond belief! Anyways...
Frozen. That's the title. It's very loosely based on Hans Christen Anderson's fairytale The Snow Queen. I had never even heard of this fairytale before when I first found out that Disney was adapting it, so naturally I looked it up. Basically, it's about a boy who gets taken by the Snow Queen and his friend/girlfriend (I'm not really sure) goes on an adventure to find him (because everyone thinks he drowned in the river, but she's told otherwise). There's a troll, a witch, and robbers involved, and a broken magical mirror that can pierce your heart and eyes to make you cold-hearted and hate everything you see. Eventually, a reindeer takes the girl to the Snow Queen's palace where she finds the boy trying to solve a puzzle (so he can go free), but he's been pierced by the mirror. She cries on him and it melts away the mirror in his heart, then he cries and it melts away the piece in his eye. Then the puzzle is solved and he can go free. And it's all happily ever after!

Like I said before, Frozen is very loosely based on that. Emphasis on "very". Again, Disney is holding out on us and being kind of vague with the plot but what I've gotten out of it (after digging around here and there) is that it's about two sisters, princesses. One is crowned queen, but on her coronation day, her dark secret is revealed: her ice powers that are triggered by her emotions. She is declared a monster, and when she accidentally curses the land in an eternal winter (and something about cursing or hurting her sister too), she banishes herself to live a life of solitude. Her sister teams up with a mountain man to go find her and bring her back. They encounter "Everest-like conditions", trolls, and a giant snow beast on an epic adventure to find the Snow Queen and save the kingdom.

Very Disney-esque plot, but I'm intrigued and excited. There's also a Duke, whom I believe is going to be the main antagonist. And a prince, who I am still not 100% clear on. I'm pretty sure he serves as a possible love interest, like forming a love triangle with the younger princess and the mountain man. Then there's a friendly little snowman and the mountain man's reindeer.
The characters of Frozen
So, what has Disney given us to get us excited for this movie? Well, NOT a trailer for one thing. I KNOW, right? Actually, they gave us a "teaser", but that's exactly what it is! It reveals absolutely nothing about the plot! You can watch it here:

It seems like every other country has gotten a trailer except for the english speaking ones. What is up with that? Like seriously? So for a while, I was watching the Japanese one, just enjoying the view and not understanding it. But eventually I found a French one with subtitles! You can see it here:
UPDATE: Someone dubbed the trailer in English. It's not the original voices, but it's better than reading subtitles.

I liked the official Facebook page. It hasn't given me much, except for one post in particular has presented me with more information than anything else combined: "MEET THE CHARACTERS OF FROZEN":
From the outside, Elsa looks poised, regal and reserved, but in reality, she lives in fear as she wrestles with a mighty secret—she was born with the power to create ice and snow. It’s a beautiful ability, but also extremely dangerous. Haunted by the moment her magic nearly killed her younger sister Anna, Elsa has isolated herself, spending every waking minute trying to suppress her growing powers. Her mounting emotions trigger the magic, accidentally setting off an eternal winter that she can’t stop. She fears she’s becoming a monster and that no one, not even her sister, can help her.

Anna is more daring than graceful and, at times, can act before she thinks. But she’s also the most optimistic and caring person you’ll ever meet. She longs to reconnect with her sister, Elsa, as they were close during their childhood. When Elsa accidentally unleashes a magical secret that locks the kingdom of Arendelle in an eternal winter, Anna embarks on a dangerous adventure to make things right. Armed with only her fearlessness, a never-give-up attitude and her faith in others, Anna is determined to save both her kingdom and her family.

What the Duke of Weselton lacks in stature, he makes up for in arrogance and showboating. He’s determined to get close to the new queen—that is, until Elsa’s magical secret is revealed. Then he’s the first to call her a monster and try to turn her own kingdom against her—anything that might help him exploit Arendelle’s tradable goods.

Hans is a handsome royal from a neighboring kingdom who comes to Arendelle for Elsa’s coronation. With 12 older brothers, Hans grew up feeling practically invisible—and Anna can relate. Hans is smart, observant and chivalrous. Unlike Elsa, Hans promises he’ll never shut Anna out; he just might be the connection she’s been waiting for all these years.

Kristoff is a true outdoorsman. He lives high up in the mountains where he harvests ice and sells it to the kingdom of Arendelle. Rough around the edges, Kristoff’s the strong, no-nonsense type, who follows his own set of rules. He may seem like a loner, but he always has his best friend by his side—a loyal and extremely mangy reindeer named Sven.

He’s Olaf and he likes warm hugs. Sprung from Elsa’s magical powers, Olaf is by far the friendliest snowman to walk the mountains above Arendelle. His innocence, outgoing personality and uncanny ability to disassemble himself at good and not-so-good times lead to some awkward, albeit laughable moments. He may also have the world’s most impossible dream, but what he doesn’t know won’t melt him—or will it?

A reindeer with the heart of a Labrador, Sven is Kristoff’s loyal friend, sleigh-puller and conscience. He makes sure his mountain-man companion is the stand-up guy Sven knows and loves, and does so without saying a word. A few emphatic snorts usually get his point across. Life would be perfect if only Kristoff would lose that ridiculous reindeer voice he likes to use when speaking for Sven (as if reindeers really talk that way).

Oaken runs Wandering Oaken's Trading Post and Sauna. But since Elsa’s massive winter storm hits in mid-July, he finds himself with a surplus of summer supplies. Deal-seekers beware: though he’s good-natured and helpful, if you cross him, Oaken won’t hesitate to throw you out of his humble establishment.

Marshmallow is an enormous icy snowman born from Elsa’s powers. He serves as a brute bodyguard charged with keeping intruders away from her ice palace. The menacing white beast doesn’t say much, but he packs a powerful punch.

Also from the Facebook page. This picture just amuses me on a number of levels:
Anna's first meeting with Kristoff

That's basically all the general public has been given besides some promotional pictures, movie posters (of course the really awesome ones are the foreign ones), and some concept art. Since I can be obsessive, I have managed to uncover a few other things...

Not necessarily spoilers, but if you like going into a movie completely fresh, then go no further. They released a short clip on their animation app for the iPad. (I used to think it was shown at DC23 [a sort of comic-con for Disney]). They got to actually see a short clip from the movie! You can watch it at this link HERE.

Lastly, since this is a Disney fairytale, it is going to be a musical. I only just found this out the other day. They have not promoted this fact one single bit! For the longest time, I thought it was just going to be a regular movie. I only found out on accident while browsing Tumblr and someone mentioned that a "leaked" song was a fake. So it piqued my curiosity on whether there were any real songs. I investigated and found out that there were some out there. Then the next day, one popped up on my dash... it just about made me cry. It was only a preview, but it was truly epic. You can listen to it HERE.

UPDATE: They just released part of the opening song (not like a musical song, but like a soundtrack song). I get a sort of The Lion King vibe. Listen HERE. (Also be sure to read the description on the video).

I'm telling you, this movie is going to be amazing! There are lots of people bashing it already, but I'm on the other end of the rope. I think it's going to be great! I mean, the entire cast are broadway singers. Idina Menzel voices Elsa! Freakin' Elphaba is the Snow Queen! And then there's Kristen Bell who plays Anna (I really only know her from When In Rome, but apparently she's a really good singer). I haven't heard of any of the other actors, but lots of people are flipping over them, so they must be good. We'll see if I actually see this one opening day! (I didn't see any of the other Disney movies that I listed above opening day and it just about killed me). I'm just really looking forward to this, OK?

(And it comes out only four days after the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special. I might actually die before November ends!)

Geronimo!

Since I am most likely going to be gone when it actually happens, I am writing this now:

Matt Smith, the Eleventh Doctor on Doctor Who is leaving and being relieved by a new actor, Peter Capaldi. After playing the part for four years, he's finally leaving (I shouldn't say "finally" because it hasn't seemed very long at all). This post is my tribute to a great incarnation of the Doctor and a fantastic actor!

I first started watching Doctor Who when Matt Smith was already playing the role (the show was already done airing the first half of the sixth season and on hiatus for four months when I officially started). But I had only heard complaints about him from my friend (the one who had introduced me to the show) because she was so attached to the Tenth Doctor, and was not very far into his reign herself. So I-- at first slowly, then once I got past the first season, very quickly-- got through the first four seasons, including the specials. Like my friend, I got VERY attached to the Tenth Doctor (played by David Tennant).

Then came the two-part special The End of Time. A truly fantastic and emotionally-wrecking adventure to be sure, but after an entire season of foreshadowing it, the Tenth Doctor's time was finally up. Truly one of the saddest deaths the Doctor has had thus far. "I don't want to go." Breaks my heart every time. But then he regenerates and then appears Matt Smith. This square-faced, floppy-haired, long-limbed KID! Seriously, even though I had seen him before, I was still slightly taken aback by how young he looked. But, he
instantly does the typical post-regeneration inspection (making sure he has all his limbs and such. And getting appalled by his hair XD) and then proceeds to attempt to gain control of his crashing TARDIS, shouting his new catchphrase (which every Doctor should have). I thought his catchphrase was a bit lame at first, but over time, I've come to love it. It totally fits his Doctor.

While the Doctor is always the same man with the same memories and such, each incarnation always sort of has its own personality and quirks and such, as well as its own trademark outfit and catchphrase(s). Eleven is right up there with Four for the most memorable wardrobe pieces, I think. Four is well known for his scarf and now everyone always remembers Eleven for his bow tie. If he doesn't have his bow tie, something is seriously wrong. Anything else could be changed about his outfit (except maybe his suspenders), but he must always be wearing a bow tie. This is because of one of his catchphrases, "bow ties are cool". Which is true. He MADE the bow tie cool! In season seven when he tried to retire, he changed his attire for a while. But then eventually he put the bow tie back on and just stared at it for a minute. I got so emotional. Emotional over a bow tie!

"Bow ties are cool" is not his only catchphrase. His other, exclamation one (like the others have) is "Geronimo!". Like I said before, I thought it was kind of lame at first and didn't like when he used it but by season six, I got used to it and eventually it became endearing to me just like "Fantastic!" or "Allons-y!" had.
I can understand why my friend had a hard time coping with the Eleventh Doctor. So many things changed when he came into the picture. The Doctor (of course), the TARDIS's interior, the head writer, the companions, the opening titles. They revamped everything! Now, it's known as the Matt Smith era (sometimes the Moffat era, but nobody likes Moffat, so we'll call it the Matt Smith era XP).

The Matt Smith era= your mind being blown at every turn. Season six is the worst! It's horrible yet awesome at the same time! My mind never hurt so much before the Eleventh Doctor.

Now as for the actual actor. They of course have to cast an absolutely out-of-this-world actor (pun intended). Every actor who has played the part has been absolutely phenomenal (some more so than others). I remember watching the Doctor Who Confidential (the old behind the scenes show that used to play after Doctor Who before it got cancelled) that revealed who the Eleventh Doctor was. The writers talked about how they had planned on casting an older actor and how they thought the process would take a long while. However, only a few actors had come through when a 26-year-old unknown came in and blew them away. They thought everything about him was perfect: his hair, his acting, even his age. But they thought they should keep looking just in case. But eventually after several days, they turned to each other and were just like, "It's Matt, isn't it?". And they cast him. Best decision they ever made (since David Tennant).
Another famous wardrobe piece (despite the fact that it only lasted for one episode and literally died, as seen here). I'm not entirely sure why it's always associated with Eleven probably because he said it was cool. Anything he says is cool... well, is. (Actually, it has made a couple guest appearances in other episodes).
Like many British actors, Matt Smith is an INCREDIBLE actor! Mind-blowingly talented! From the big grand speeches to the little tiny facial expressions. He can convey so much emotion in either one. He can also switch from curious adorable puppy to horrible rage monster in 0.02 seconds and make it look absolutely real.

First released picture of Matt Smith
I wasn't a part of the Eleventh Doctor reveal back in 2009, but I will hear stories and stuff about what people thought when they first found out who was going to be taking over David Tennant. I've also seen the picture that was released along with the announcement. Everyone thought that Matt's Doctor was going to be a dark, brooding gothic type based on the picture. Ha! Quite the opposite! His Doctor is a very quirky, mad-professorish type and is very easily excited (well basically all incarnations are, but especially this one). He is rather childish at times too, enjoying toys and stuff. Plus he has things like a Christmas list and whatever. In fact he is often described as an excited baby giraffe. (The baby giraffe thing is kid of a long story. You really just have to watch him to fully understand it. Apparently Matt Smith is VERY clumsy and sometimes his clumsiness translates into his acting a bit. His long limbs just flail about all the time.) However, he has a very dark side that is only very rarely unearthed. While Ten was very dark and scary sometimes, I think Eleven scares me more, just because it's more rare. And Eleven's darkness is not like fiery rage like Ten's, where he yells and screams and proclaims his anger for all to hear, but more icy anger where he gives a dark, menacing threat, leaves and then destroys them all (or whatever). And that's just scary. He plays it all incredibly well. "You gave me hope and then took it away. That's enough to make anyone dangerous. Who knows what it'll do to me."

As for Matt Smith himself... I absolutely adore him! He is a true Brit with all his manners and kind soul and everything, plus he's freakin' hilarious! A definite hipster to be sure (just look at his hair), but we love him for it. I dare you to find a picture (where his hands are free) that isn't candid or for Doctor Who, where he's not holding up the peace sign. He's a bit of a reflection of his Doctor with the childishness and excitement.

He has definitely grown up these past few years. I mean looking back at season five I'm just like "Aww! Look at his little baby face!". Like I said before, I didn't really like him when I first got around to him ( I thought he was funny looking and weird). But now I've warmed up to him and yes he is still weird, but it's endearing. And you know what? I (along with many others, don't go singling me out) think he's is actually kind of good looking. Not that he's like the hottest guy around because he's most definitely not, but I've gotten used to him and warmed up to his features (David Tennant is still the best out of all of them.)

I do welcome Peter Capaldi with open arms into the Doctor Who family though. But I'm going to miss Matt desperately! "Raggedy man... goodbye!" (Oh... I made myself even more sad with that reference.) Matt Smith you are one of a kind! Thank you for being a wonderful Eleventh Doctor!

Man of Steel Review (spoiler free)

OK so I'm conflicted. I mean, it was totally awesome! Like it blew my mind! But then... at the same time, it didn't. I think there was too much action and fighting. I think that's what might have yanked my rose-colored glasses off. I mean, action is good. I love a good fight scene, but when it just goes on and on and on and ON! You just kind numb yourself to it and you're like "alright already, resolve the issue and move on!". When I sit down for a movie, I expect to sit and enjoy myself. If there's too much going on in front of my eyes all the time, it's like there's a strobe light constantly going and I'm not relaxed.

But the action and fighting was amazingly choreographed, I have to say. And the cinematography around it... *two thumbs up* It's just that there was a surplus of it. Like, there was one part where Superman tackled Zod and they crashed through literally like 50 buildings before finally landing. I was just like "OK, are they going to stop now?". I mean, it's great because it shows how powerful he is, but they could've quit after like 20 buildings and still got the point across. They kind of pushed it a little far and bored me to death.

You know I always say, the plot is what always brings me back in the end. So here's why I'm conflicted. This movie did a frikin' fantastic job of a bringing a fresh new take to the Superman backstory with Krypton's destruction and Clark's childhood and everything. The first half of the movie is focused around that, and the second half is mostly focused around resolving the issue at hand (which involves a lot of tackling, punching, collapsing buildings, explosions, etc.).

Also, if a movie makes me feel emotions on an intense level, you've got me. When Superman flew for the first time, I think there were tears. That was probably THE most powerful scene in the film (at least for me). Not that there weren't many others. Actually, it might have been the most powerful "first flight" in any Superman adaption (at least that I've seen. And I've seen several). His power of flight is always the last power he gains control of, isn't it? Because it's the most epic one, amiright?

I mentioned the cinematography when I was talking about the action, but the amazingness was constant throughout the entire film. And the special effects were mind-blowingly incredible! And the music. The music! Ah! Hans Zimmer has yet to fail me. Another musical masterpiece!

As for the acting, there were a couple minor actors that were "meh", but the main actors were spot on with their performance. A standing ovation for all of them! Can I say "huzzah!" for all the actors of all ages that played Clark?

They strayed away from canon a lot which is another conflict for me as a geek. Even though I went in with an open mind, expecting there to be changes, I was still a bit shaken. Despite the fact that they stuck to the basics, I still missed the traditional Fortress of Solitude, the red trunks, how Jonathan Kent died, etc. But I put aside my pride and rolled with it. I'm coming to terms with it. There's a bunch of characters and references to canon that are there that people who aren't familiar with the originals might think are just wasting screen time or are just another character (like Perry White or Pete Ross).

Overall, I thought that it was a gosh darn good movie! They just could've cut back on the action a bit, that's my one big criticism. Everything else is a typical thing I encounter a lot and can deal with (my headcanons getting messed with, minor acting not being top notch, etc.). I don't know, I think I need to watch it again before I make a firm decision on how much I really liked it. I might decide that the action's not so bad and that everything else is better than I remembered OR I could decide that the action is just as bad or worse and everything else just doesn't cancel it out. But for now, I'm giving it an 8/10 with the ability to retract and change after the second viewing.

(Oh, did I mention it's really, really LOUD?)

My Trophies

You know that feeling where your life is utterly meaningless, but there's only one thing in the distant future that keeps you going? That glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel? That trophy at the end of a long run? Well what if someone suddenly blew out that light right as you got there? Or took away the trophy? You'd feel pretty bummed right? The one thing you've been riding on for months has suddenly been pulled out from under you! I have literally been counting the days to this moment, only for it to be pushed back. One day does make a difference! The thought of everyone else out there doing the thing you've been waiting for for months while you have to sit at home doing the same old thing you've been doing every day when you were expecting to be out there with everyone else. Why can't I drive!? If I were at school, I would be able to just walk! But no. I had to be suspended because of my stupid deteriorating brain.
This happens all the time. My trophy always gets yanked away at the last second. But normally, I just suck it up (maybe sulk for a little) and then move on. But NO! Not this time! This has been one of my longest runs and most anticipated trophies in a long time. I have been so psyched for this trophy! I seriously cried when I found out about this trophy and actually cried again when I found out I wasn't getting it when I expected. I have a list of when things that go my way that I add to when I actually get my trophy when I expect to (I started it at the beginning of this year, hoping it would help me be more positive). There are 5 things on it. Five. Out of... well a lot more than five. I don't care how ridiculous the trophy may seem to other people. I am excited about it and it has given me something to look forward to. And when I don't get my trophy, it just disappoints and ticks me off. It doesn't give me "one more day of anticipation". And the longer the run has been, the testier I get when it comes to receiving the trophy. If it is planned out in advance when I will receive the trophy (whether out loud or in my head) and suddenly at the last minute, it switches... all my impatience surfaces in unpleasant emotions.

...This happened with Tangled too. We had to wait SO LONG!

And The Princess and the Frog! I had to talk Dad into dropping me off after some church activity on a Saturday two days after it came out.

This is why I never ask for anything. Because I don't get it, or we don't do it forever, or it's pushed to the side while we do other people's things, and sometimes forgotten about until I bring it up again.

I'm not asking anyone to really understand my need to get my trophy the day of, but just try to accept it's one of the few things I ask for and try to help me out. The only time it's ever happened is while I was at college and I could walk myself. I don't care if I see it with anyone, I'll go sit in between strangers because you're not supposed to talk anyway. I just want to see the blinkin' movie! The second or third time, I'll go see it with the family (which is often why my trophy gets taken away or pushed back a day). Because I'll still have the same opinions and it'll still be awesome! (Because I probably won't be so psyched about something that turns out to be so bad I won't want to see it again).

Now just to clarify, my trophies are not just movies, but those are often the longest anticipated that are most frequently yanked away from me and just so happen to be what sparked this post.

A Super Post

Since there seems to be a surplus of movies coming out lately, I thought it appropriate to post about this. Now, I'm just going to talk about a couple of my favorites since this would be rather extensive if I talked about every single one in existence.

SPIDER-MAN
My favorite superhero. He's always been my favorite, but I wasn't very vocal about it until the new reboot movie, The Amazing Spider-Man, was released. I hadn't really read much of the comics before, but I knew generally what the character was like in them and I liked how he was portrayed in the reboot better than the original trilogy. I just love this hero, OK? The crawling on walls, the swinging across rooftops, the Spider-sense, the super strength, the quick reflexes. His powers are so AWESOME!!! Plus his outfit is pretty sweet (even though I'm not a huge fan of red).
The Amazing Spider-Man got it right: in the comics, the web-shooting wasn't originally part of his powers, but something he developed later. In the beginning, he developed web-shooters for his wrists-- as seen in the movie. Also, he's such a smart-alek while he's got the mask on, in the comics, and the movie got that right as well. Another unique trait is that he's the first teenage superhero to actually star in his own comic. Before, the teens were usually just the sidekicks. And then his secret identity, Peter Parker, just d'aaaawww! In the original trilogy he was played by Tobey Maguire, but honestly I'm not a huge fan of his. I mean, sometimes I thought maybe he was sort of cute, but then sometimes there was just something about his face that bothered me. There was something about the way he talked... I don't know. But still, his character :D!!! But then Andrew Garfield took the role and portrayed it in a completely different way... and I liked it!
SECRET IDENTITY: PETER PARKER: a nerdy high school student who loves science and gets bullied a lot.

ZORRO
He's as much of a superhero as Batman (apparently he's a big inspiration for Batman). Using his mad fighting skills to defeat the bad guys, no special super powers. I was completely obsessed with The Mask of Zorro a couple years ago. It's still seriously one of my all-time favorite movies. I have only seen The Mask of Zorro and its sequel, The Legend of Zorro, so I only have one version of Zorro to discuss here. I love those old swashbuckling films with sword fights, secret plots, revenge, chases, escapes, "true love, miracles" (a little movie quote humor there for ya XP). I remember when I first watched this, it was purely because I was curious as to what Zorro was... and then I was hooked. I've always liked his outfit. Very... I don't know what the word is I'm looking for. Dashing? Foxy? (LOLOLOL "Foxy". Get it? Because Zorro means "fox" in Spanish?) Anyways, I love that he sometimes warns his enemies (with his trademark "Z") and they still are never prepared for him XD. I can't quite be sure about his secret identity since he's had several, although I think his most famous is Don Diego De la Vega (which is the mentor in The Mask of Zorro). Of course the one I'm familiar with is Alejandro Murrieta/De la Vega (played by Antonio Banderas), who succeeded Don Diego.
SECRET IDENTITY: DON DIEGO DE LA VEGA: a rather foppish, passionless young don who does not care much for action, romance, etc.

BATMAN
Speaking of Batman... of course everybody's favorite superhero is on my list. Seriously though, he is EVERYBODY'S favorite! I'm not really sure why. The musical, Holy Musical B@man, explores this concept, why does everybody love Batman so much? (Also I remember I saw an interview with The Avengers cast and somebody asked one of them who their favorite superhero was when he was growing up. At first he said Superman and only got a few cheers, which he noticed, so he changed his answer to Batman and got almost everybody cheering.) But, I admit, he is pretty awesome! I've probably seen the most movie versions of this hero than any others. Of course, lately I've been watching the ones starring Christian Bale. His outfit is pretty boss and his logo is probably my favorite superhero logo (it's a shame you can barely see it in the Christian Bale movies). The "Batman Voice" is the best though. It sounds like he's battling throat cancer or something. I can hardly take him seriously most of the time because it's just so different from his Bruce Wayne voice (you know, his secret identity in case you were oblivious).
SECRET IDENTITY: BRUCE WAYNE: carefree billionaire playboy who owns pretty much all of Gotham City.

SUPERMAN
Quite frankly, I will never understand why this one is not more popular. I mean, he is the epitome of the superhero! I freakin' love Superman (right after Spider-Man)! He's like the only (famous/popular) hero that can fly, he's got super strength, x-ray vision, heat vision, super speed, super breath/ice breath, and he's invicible (that's my favorite one. I love watching bullets ricochet off him, or when he gets whacked by a steel pole or something and is completely unaffected). Also, he's actually got an original backstory compared to most other superheroes. No radioactivity accidents or a tragic childhood or whatever. He's also the originator of most of the superhero stereotypes like changing in a phone booth.
I didn't know more than the average Joe on Superman until recently when I found out about the new movie, Man of Steel, which is coming out this Friday actually (SO PUMPED!). Then I started looking into it more. I've left my education (which included watching all the Christopher Reeve films and Smallville) with newfound love and appreciation for the character. I found that I not only love his hero side, but I totally love his secret identity. Clark Kent just always makes me laugh. Despite being the most well-known, he is the most glossed over. It must be the bright red trunks on the outside of his costume that loses people's respect XD. I suppose it's a good thing they took them away in the new film, although I'll admit I was a tiny bit disappointed.
SECRET IDENTITY: CLARK KENT: clumsy, socially awkward news reporter for the Daily Planet.

THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL
The original superhero. Lots of people say that Zorro is the originator of the superhero, but actually it's this one. He's the one that made the secret identity famous (although Zorro is the one that started the whole wearing a mask thing). This will forever be my favorite book, it's SOOO good! Again, no superpowers, he just relies wholly on his high intelligence, strategic thinking, and wit. For those of you that don't know, the Scarlet Pimpernel is a mysterious being who rescues french aristocrats from being beheaded at the guillotine. He doesn't wear a mask, but wears disguises to get past the guards at the gates in Paris so he can smuggle the aristocrats out. He is called "The Scarlet Pimpernel" because he always leaves behind a note signed with a small, red, star-shaped flower called a scarlet pimpernel. This character had a lot of inspiration for Zorro (who, in turn, had a lot of inspiration for Batman). So I suppose this one indirectly inspired Batman XD. I have seen three movie versions of this, but my favorite is the 1982 version with Anthony Andrews as Sir Percy (the 1934 version is pretty good too, but the TV mini series from 1999 is awful, awful, AWFUL!!! D:)
SECRET IDENTITY: SIR PERCIVAL BLAKENEY: a foppish, lazy english aristocrat who spends most of his days fussing over fashion, and writing "masterpiece" poems.

Have you noticed that like ALL superheroes are orphans? I mean Spider-Man lives with his aunt and uncle, Zorro-- well depends on which version-- but I think they're all orphans, Batman's parents were killed right in front of him when he was a kid, Superman's planet exploded when he was a baby (last son of Krypton, right?), the Scarlet Pimpernel's mom went crazy when he was kid and died shortly after and his dad died right after he sent him off to boarding school.
Iron Man's an orphan, Wolverine's an orphan, all the X-Men are orphans, Green Arrow's an orphan, Captain America's an orphan, I mean THEY'RE ALL ORPHANS!

Best of Smallville

You knew there was going to be one. There's always a post shortly following every show I watch. And since I finally finished this one last week...

(You know I really just make these posts for my own amusement, right? I don't expect anyone to read them, especially if you have no idea what they're about.)

TOP 10 MOMENTS (pretty much just funny moments, because that's what tickles my fancy and stays in my head the best out of everything I watch. And there were 10 seasons to sort through to remember my favorite stuff. You might get a follow up post of epic moments or romantic moments or memorable moments or something)

10) Reenacting a Crime Scene
Of course a mom with kids would have to walk in on that XD.

9) Pete's Secret
I love how everyone (meaning Clark and the viewers) are expecting him to tell her Clark's secret, but then he goes and does that. Talk about plot twist! I also love how shell-shocked Clark looks. Ha!

8) "I'm the Blur."
And the Man of Steel is taken down by a petite reporter. This was like the best reaction to him telling anyone that he had a secret identity.

7) Socially Awkward Clark Kent
Go HERE for video
The first time we really get a taste of the Clark Kent we all know and love from the comics. The milkshake thing, OMG I just about choked on my own saliva. Who comes up with this stuff? XD

6) The Green Arrow?
(I've always wondered how that slap didn't hurt her hand.) Oliver's face always cracks me up and his dry: "So tell him thank you". I'm sure neither Oliver nor Clark ever expected her to do that. And Clark's face after he runs away. Plus Jimmy snapping pictures the entire time just makes it better. (Of course all the Clois shippers sang hallelujah since this was technically their first kiss).

5) Sharing the Bathroom
Poor Clark. Victim of Lois's big mouth and forward ways. I love their love/hate relationship before they become a couple, it's hilarious. "SHOWERS! We took separate SHOWERS." LOL.

4) Shower Encounter
Once again, poor Clark. All he does is get out of the shower and two women are mad at him XD. And not the focus of the scene, but Clark sings in the shower XDDD

3) Normal Reporter
"Aren't you going to do anything?" "You're absolutely right, Lois *dramatically takes out phone* 911?". Gold! Superman actually calls the police. And the whole rooftop scene is hilarious! When Chloe/Lois comes at him with the pipe or when he's enjoying the acoustics or complaining about the rust. I die laughing every time! XDD

2) Lovesick Lois
The way Clark hightails it out of there when she goes to put the CD in... BAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I seriously suffocate on my laughter!

1) Posing as an Engaged Couple
All their nicknames for each other, Pumpkin, Muffin, Poodle, Cupcake. Pffffft! The way Clark just shoves the ring onto Lois's finger. Oliver's reaction is the best though. "Is this true?" "I'm afraid so." XD This scene is the best!
